Virtually any Water source can be filtered :

tap water, well, river, lake, stream and swimming

pool water can be used. Not for use with salt water

Gravity feeds the water through an activated-carbon / dual micro-pore ceramic filter that removes dangerous contaminants, including 85% MTBE, tastes and odors, bacteria, cysts, pesticides, herbicides, chlorine, sediment and heavy metals, including lead, from virtually any water source; tap, river, well, lake or stream. You simply fill the top chamber with water which passes through the filter to the bottom chamber. The ceramic filtration efficiency is 0.5 micron absolute.

Evaporative cooling chills the water by 12-15 degrees

and filters up to 12 gallons in 24 hours

The filter is silver impregnated to prevent bacteria grow - through. The ceramic elements may be cleaned 100 or more times with a soft brush or 3M Scotchbrite. It has an inner core of activated carbon to remove chemical pollutants. In addition to being a carbon filter this countertop water filter also incorporates absorbent medias to effectively reduce heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, zinc, mercury and copper.
